Public funding options at Splash Physiotherapy

Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Scheme (EPC)

If your child has been diagnosed with a chronic health condition, you may be eligible for Medicare funding for physiotherapy. This is through the Enhanced Primary Care Scheme which refunds $53.80 for each of 5 sessions per year (Medicare item #10960). Medicare requires your GP must complete this referral form BEFORE your first session to be eligible for a rebate with Medicare Take our address for Moonee Ponds or Greensborough (whichever is closest to you, or the pool you would like to attend for aquatic physiotherapy and swimming programs). Please ask your medical centre to hand you a PAPER copy of your referral and bring it along to your appointment. We have had some unfortunate delays with customers being able to access this funding through delays in the medical centres' passing on of the referrals. Betterstart allows their funding to be used to cover gap fees however the NDIS does not. You will pay Splash Physiotherapy for your service, then use your invoice to claim the Medicare rebate (Medicare have an app to make claims, or you can go to your local Medicare office. Contact Medicare if you need support in making claims). Talk to us about what the gap will be for your chosen service. Splash famlilies find using the Medicare app easy to claim: Apple Android *Medicare only allows items to be used for contact services. Telehealth (such as consults over the phone) are accepted. Non - contact work, such as report writing, cannot be used with Medicare.
