Kayaking, swimming, bike riding & martial arts intensives!

We had a wonderful time at our January intensives as usual this year, with more variety than ever!

We welcomed Lance to his first intensive with us, where he supported children with bike riding, martial arts and aquatic goals.

Bec worked with children in bike riding, sports skills, kayaking and aquatic goals.

And Shayna worked with children in mobility, bike riding, aquatic and kayaking goals.

We even had the chance to practise water rescue skills in real life in the river, having simulated this in earlier aquatic physio sessions with life jackets and mats for boats!

One of the young kayakers did an excellent job of arranging for his dad to hire a kayak and meet us on the river for a paddle, to say hello to his mother and grandparents and show off his new skills! He looked up availability, directions, made bookings, and communicated it all with his family. How's that for a project!

It was a packed two weeks, with lots of problem solving to manage changing COVID restrictions, but we made it!

We are very proud of all of the children and family's achievements, and of our team for making it happen!

Congratulations to everyone on achieving your goals!
